More than positive balance in all respects: new female record in the half marathon, over 2,000 euros raised for Caritas of Jesolo and over 220 pairs of used shoes donated for the needy.
Venice, 23 May 2023 - Venicemarathon, the City of Jesolo and Jesolo Tursimo archive with great satisfaction the 12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon-10K & Alì Family Run which ran last Saturday on the Venetian coast, however already looking to the future and to the next edition that the organizers have scheduled for Saturday 25 May 2024.
48 hours after the event, the sums are drawn and the balance is more than positive. The female record in the half marathon of 1h10'52" of the Kenyan Morine Michira Gesara, 1 minute faster than the previous one, and the time obtained by Shumay Mogos Solomon (1h02'39") confirm the quality of the course and the good technical level of the race.
Despite the uncertain weather, 6,000 runners and enthusiasts, many of whom were foreigners (30%), gave life to this great running festival and seized the sporting opportunity to spend a weekend in Jesolo, thus generating an important promotional and economic induced for the territory at the opening of the season. The 2 million euro of economic impact calculated in past editions is a goal that should easily be reconfirmed if not even surpassed, and Venicemarathon is already planning a new research in this regard.
Excellent results also in the field of solidarity. The Alì Family Run, with its 500 participants, has raised over 2,000 euros which will be donated to Caritas of the parish of San Giovanni Battista in Jesolo and which will be used to help over 200 needy people.
Success therefore for the Alì Family Run in Jesolo experienced as a big party especially for the little ones, who let loose along the three-kilometre route and for many families with strollers and dogs in tow. Jesolo was the first of the seven stages of a circuit that during the course of the year will involve the entire metropolitan area of Venice and will make over 20,000 people run, supporting as always the global campaign of Rotary International 'End Polio Now'.
The used shoe collection experiment promoted by the 'Vegan Power Team' association was also more than positive. Over 220 pairs were donated, many of which also by foreign athletes, which will subsequently be given away to people in need: a nice gesture of environmental sustainability and the culture of recycling.
But it is the numbers of the Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon that can provide the scope of the event: about 500 volunteers were employed in the services in the start and finish area and along the route, including 40 Local Police officers, a relay of the Traffic Police, the Fire Brigade, the Civil Protection of Jesolo, an impressive health service coordinated by the Green Cross of Cavallino (4 ambulances, 1 medical motorbike, 1 advanced medical station and 2 SAP) and 50 pacers of the Venicemarathon Running Team.
Approximately 6,000 Craft technical t-shirts, 40,000 small bottles of San Benedetto water, 6,000 sachets of mineral salts and 10,000 ProAction bars, 12,000 cans of Bavaria beer, 20,000 Morato Pane mini scrikkis, 35,000 Palmisano biscuits, 6,000 refreshment kits were distributed branded Alì and over 1,000 massages were performed by the Diabasi professional school.
Finally, Venicemarathon produced a very popular live television broadcast, broadcast via Facebook, conducted by Paolo Mutton and the former marathon blue Migidio Bourifa and created thanks to the collaboration of Hot Spot srl, Evodata and Gac Service.
The next events that will see Venicemarathon involved are the 2nd Venice Lido Beach Trail scheduled for Sunday 24th September at the Venice Lido and the 37th Wizz Air Venicemarathon on 22nd October.
Sponsors of the event were: Honda Italia, Craft, Compressport, Alì, Banco BPM, Pro Action, San Benedetto, Bavaria, Palmisano, 1/6H Sport, Morato, Diabasi, 3B Meteo, ATVO, ParkForFun, Lacomed Sport and the media partners Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, Radio Bellla & Monella and Radio PiterPan. Confcommercio Ascom San Donà- Jesolo also collaborates in the event.

The Kenyan signs the race record 1h10'52 "and the Eritrean reconfirms herself for the second time after the 2018 victory, running in 1h02'39". Third step of the podium, surprisingly, for the Italian Ademe Cuneo who finished in 1h03'20", just 13" from his personal best. Among the curiosity, also competing Piero Barone, the Italian tenor member of the musical trio 'Il Volo'

Venice, 19 May 2023 - The 12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon crowns the Eritrean Shumay Mogos Solomon for the second time, training partner of the blue Eyob Faniel, who won in 1h02'39", preceding by only 9 seconds the Kenyan Isaac Too, second in 1h02'48”.

The race started at a rather slow pace, but with constant spurts that sent most of the leading group into a 'tilt'. The race then heated up around the 17th kilometer, when the real head-to-head between the Eritrean and the Kenyan began, resolved only in the last 500 meters, when Solomon placed the decisive draw.

“I'm happy to have reconfirmed here in Jesolo and I enjoyed the race a lot. I was hoping to lower my personal score, but I'm still very happy” - says Mogos, training partner of the blue marathon record holder Eyob Faniel, at the finish line, during the rallies in Asmara (Eri).

Third place, surprisingly, for the 24-year-old Italian, of Ethiopian origins, Ademe Cuneo who finished in 1h03'20 ", just 13" from his personal best. “It's my first half marathon of the season and I'm really happy with this podium. It's just a pity that I didn't make the staff, but it was a tactically difficult match to read and interpret" - said the Athletics color bearer Casone Noceto.

Fourth place for the other blue Abdoullah Bamoussa, while retirement for Giuseppe Gerratana.

Record of the race, however, in the women's field at the hands of the Kenyan Morine Michira Gesare who ran in 1h10'52 ", lowering the previous record by 1 minute, which dated back to 2013 and belonged to the Kenyan Hellen Jepkurgat. Behind her, detached by a handful of seconds, the Rwandan Clementine Mukandanga, while third, with a delay of more than 3 minutes, came the Burundian Cavaline Nahimana.
The women's race, well piloted by the hares with an intermediate lap of 34'08", was more regular than the men's with the Kenyan and the Rwandan in the lead right from the start, who ran together up to the last kilometer , when Jepkurgat stretched out, shrugging off Mukandanga. Second victory of the season, therefore, for Hellen Jepkurgat after the one in Piacenza last May 7th. “I'm really happy to have achieved the new record of the run and to have won. I dedicate this podium to my boyfriend Dennis”. The first of the blues was Federica Sugamiele, fourth at the finish line, in 1h14'39".

Among the curiosity, Piero Barone, the Italian tenor member of the highly successful musical trio 'Il Volo' was also in the competition. Barone finished his race in 1h45'45".

The protagonists of the shortest race of 9.350 meters were the 19-year-old Venetian and middle-distance runner of Assindustria Padova Thomas D'Este (29'15") and the 'Aristide Coin' diletta Moressa (33'09"), both winners last October also of the 10k combined with the Venicemarathon.

Nice gesture of fair play in the Alì Family Run, where 15-year-old Francesco Zamuner from Ivrea (companion of his marathon dad) waited for the arrival of the youngest Giulio Coppe (9 years old, from Jesolo) to cross the finish line together. Among the women, clear victory for Valentina Piaz (14 years old) from Belluno. Shortly before the start, the race was sold out of the 500 bibs available.

Many local administrators in the race: the deputy mayor of Venice Andrea Tomaello, in his debut in a 10K, ran in 1h03'24"; the president of the City Council Ermelinda Damiano, still on the 10k, 1h41'22'. In the half marathon, the newly elected mayor of San Donà di Piave Alberto Teso ran in 1h42'50".

In all three races, a minute of silence was observed in InnoDB of the victims of the floods that hit Emilia Romagna. The start of the Family Run was also greeted by Don Gianni Fassina, by the president of the Municipal Council of Jesolo Lucas Pavanetto and by the president of the Rotary Club of Jesolo Paolo Milan.

The Honda Auto Italia special award was presented to Giorgia Bocchetto, the first Venetian woman to cross the finish line in the half marathon.

“It was a truly extraordinary edition both for the technical quality of the results and for the great participation: in all three races we saw the bibs sold out - commented the president of Venicemarathon Piero Rosa Salva - An extraordinary evening , which stimulates us to look to the future with great optimism, but above all to aim to grow even more in numbers, at a technical level, but aboveall internationally. On behalf of myself and of all Venicemarathon, I warmly thank the Municipality of Jesolo and all its offices for their invaluable collaboration, all the police forces involved, the Civil Protection, the Green Cross and the extraordinary volunteers. In 2024 the race will take place on Saturday 25 May”.

The start of the half marathon is scheduled at 20.15 from via Denmark, while the 10K will start at 19.30, always from the same venue.
At 17.30 the cheerful solidarity run-walk Alì Family Run of 3K is scheduled.
The Honda Moonlight Village opens this afternoon in Piazza Milano

Venice, 19 May 2023 - In just over 24 hours, the city of Jesolo will once again experience the Saturday night running 'fever' with the 12th edition of the Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon - 10K & Alì Family Run, the spectacular race international road race in which 5,500 athletes are expected, with foreign participants mainly from Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain and Hungary.

The event starts to get going this afternoon with the opening, at 3 pm, of the Honda Jesolo Moonlight Village in Piazza Milano, the place where all the competitors already registered will pass to pick up their bib, the official t-shirt branded Craft, visit the exhibition stands of the sponsoring companies and deliver used shoes in good condition in the appropriate 'Double knot - forty 2.0' containers which will then be donated to people in need.

Tomorrow, Saturday 20 May, the village will open from the morning (9 am) and will entertain the athletes until the start with entertainment and good music from Radio Bellla & Monella and Radio Piterpan.

Still in the village, it will also be possible to register (until 5 pm on Saturday 20) for the Alì Family Run. Also in this case, all the competitors will receive the official t-shirt, the race bib and at the end they will find a rich refreshment. The run-walk will have a twofold noble purpose: on the one hand to help Caritas of Jesolo and on the other to raise awareness among young people about the global fight against polio, through the 'End Polio Now' project of Rotary 2060.

The starting point of all three races will be set up in via Denmark (adjacent to Piazza Milano) and the first race to start will be the Alì Family Run, which will start at 17.30, followed by the 10K at 19.30 and the half marathon at 20.15.

It will be possible to follow the live streaming of the event, starting at 7.45 pm online on the event's Facebook page. The commentary will be edited by Paolo Mutton and the technical commentary by the blue marathon Migidio Bourifa.

In the 21K, an all-African challenge is expected, both in the men's and women's fields, between Kenyans, Eritreans and Burundians, but surprises are expected from the blues Abdoullah Bamoussa, Giuseppe Gerratana and Ademe Cuneo.

Among the curiosities, the most mature athlete in the race is Elio De Bon (84 years old) enrolled in the recreational motor 10K, while in the half marathon the record goes to Paolo Barbato (82 years old). Among the foreigners, the Belgian Robert Geys (75 years old).

Female participation in the race is also very high this year. In the 10K, registered women represent 50% of the total number of participants, while in the 21K they represent over 30%.

The refreshment and sponging points will be unified, to reduce the consumption of plastic bottles. The refreshment points will be located at the 5th - 10th - 15th kilometer where the athletes will find San Benedetto water, Palmisano biscuits, ProAction supplements and fruit. From the 17th to the 20th kilometre, the athletes will be able to cool off with the showers they will find along the seafront. For 10K competitors, there will be only one refreshment point at the 5th kilometre.

The route will be completely closed to traffic and in total safety thanks to the collaboration of the Civil Protection, the Local Police, the Traffic Police, the Jesolo Fire Brigade and the over 200 volunteers stationed along the route.

The first aid service will observe the health plan approved by Aulss3 Venice and which will be coordinated by the Green Cross of Cavallino Treporti with ambulances and medical motorbikes. In addition, the runners of the BLS-Run-Team, qualified for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and early defibrillation, will also run alongside the athletes.

Once the effort is over, the party will continue immediately after the finish line at Parco Grifone with the Moonlight Party, dedicated to all participants and companions.

The 12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon - 10K and Alì Family Run scheduled for the evening of Saturday 20 May was presented today in Jesolo.
There are also many members of the Alì Family Run.

Venice, 16 May 2023 - The curtain rises on the 12th edition of the Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon - 10K & Alì Family Run, the spectacular international road running event scheduled for Saturday 20 May, organized by Venicemarathon, with the patronage and collaboration with the City of Jesolo, the support of Jesolo Turismo and titled this year by the Japanese brand Honda.

Also this year the race is one step away from the sold out of the 5,500 bibs, with athletes from 35 foreign countries and many are registered for the 3K Alì Family Run.

The 'moonlight' event was presented this morning in the Municipality of Jesolo in the presence of the mayor Christofer De Zotti, the councilor for sport Marina Borin, the president of Venicemarathon Piero Rosa Salva, the general coordinator Lorenzo Cortesi and the administrator by Idea Venezia Stefano Fornasier.

"The Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon represents one of the most important elements of this month dedicated to sport - declares the mayor of Jesolo, Christofer De Zotti - A consolidated event, always much appreciated by those with kilometers on their legs but also by the families who participate at the Family Run. A package that is completed with the Moonlight Village and the Moonlight Party, capable of bringing a real party to piazza Milano"

"In Jesolo you can already breathe the air of competition and celebration, and this atmosphere is all the result of the approaching event - adds the councilor for sport of Jesolo, Martina Borin - A consolidated organization is a guarantee of the success of the event, everyone knows it and for this reason thousands sign up every year. For Jesolo it is a great new opportunity for visibility and qualification for the city".

The president of Venicemarathon Piero Rosa Salva is satisfied with the consolidated success of the event and with the constant and fruitful collaboration with the Municipal Administration: "I thank the city of Jesolo which has hosted us for twelve years, proving to be very welcoming, helpful and very collaborative. Our goal is to offer citizens an event in which they feel an active and integral part, capable at the same time of stimulating tourism and economic induced activities at the start of the season. We are also happy to combine this year with the first of the seven stages of the Alì Family Run, our social and sports promotion project dedicated to young people and families, which we offer in all the events we organize, in collaboration with Rotary 2060 and supported by Alì Supermarkets".

The nerve center of the event will be Piazza Milano, a stone's throw from the beach, where the Honda Jesolo Moonlight Village will be set up, animated for two full days - Friday 19 May (from 3 to 8 pm) and Saturday 20 May (from 9 to 23) - with activities of the sponsor companies and enlivened by so much good music from Radio Bellla & Monella and Radio Piterpan. The party will also continue immediately after the finish line at Parco Grifone with the Moonlight Party, dedicated to all participants and companions.

The departure of the 10K is scheduled for 19.30 from via Denmark and that of the 21K at 20.15 always from the same location, while the departure of the Alì Family Run is scheduled at 17.30 again from Piazza Miano. It will be possible to follow the live streaming of the race starting at 19.30 and online on the event's Facebook page.

As always, the half marathon route will be spectacular and fast and will offer an alternation of different naturalistic aspects such as the river, the pine forest, the promenade and the beach, combined with the romantic colors of the sunset and the charm of the sea, just as suggestive is the route of the 10K which to be exact measures 9.350 km. The two tracks will be completely closed to traffic thanks to the enormous work of the Civil Protection, the Local Police, the Traffic Police and the more than 200 people who will be in charge of the streets affected by the passage of the athletes.

"Also this year we are pleased to be close to sold out of the 5,500 bibs, the large number of foreigners present and the already numerous members of the Family Run, many of whom will presumably be family members and companions following the athletes. Our organizational model aims every time to be an integral part of the context in which it takes place and our commitment is constantly aimed at the maximum containment of the inconvenience that can be caused to citizens and respect for values that are an integral part of the community of Jesolo, such as sustainability, inclusion and sport for all: the Honda Jesolo Moonlight, with its formula over three distances and in all its services, embodies all these values - these the words of Lorenzo Cortesi.

In the half marathon, two well-known faces of the event return to the Jesolo coast: the Eritrean Shumay Mogos Solomon winner of the 2018 edition and the Kenyan Hosea Kimeli Kisorio, winner in 2014. Eyes also on the Kenyans Bernard Musau Wambua (pb 1h00'40” ), Isaac Kemboi Too, fresh winner of the Placentia Half Marathon which took place last May 7, and on the Burundians Oliver Irabaruta (national record holder in the marathon with 2h07'13”) and Onesphore Nzikwinkunda, who in the half marathon has a personal 1h01 '48”. In a blue key, the name of the blue steeplechase, originally from Morocco, Abdoullah Bamoussa (Atletica Brugnera Friulintagli) stands out, a specialist in the 3,000 steeplechase, who wore the blue shirt at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. Together with him, the Sicilian airman, also a former blue fencer, winner of the Turin marathon in 2022 Giuseppe Gerratana, athlete followed by Gaspare Polizzi, who was mentor, among others, of Salvatore Antibo. There will also be the bearer of the Atl. Casone Noceto, the 24-year-old Lombard of Ethiopian origin Ademe Cuneo. In the women's field, the best accredited is the Kenyan Morine Gesare Michira (1h08'40") also winner of the half-time in Piacenza on 7 May. Also from Africa are the Rwandan Clementine Mukandanga and the Kenyan Cavaline Nahimana.

"Once again this year the cast is of an excellent level both for men and women. We have set up a very hard-fought race with athletes of different nationalities and all ready to give excellent chronometric performances, thanks also to the ever faster and smoother course" - so Stefano Fornasier.

Alì Family Run will help raise funds to support the parish of San Giovanni Battista, one of the most important Caritas centers in Jesolo and thanks to the collaboration with Rotary District 2060, the event will serve to spread the message of the important campaign 'Run to End Polio Now' to raise awareness among young people of the importance of fighting polio globally. Furthermore, on this occasion, thanks to the 'Double knot, forty 2.0' project, it will be possible to donate used running shoes (in good condition and washed before delivery) for people in need.

Also very happy with the initiative were Don Gianni Fassina of Caritas Jesolo, the president of the Rotary Club of Jesolo Paolo Milan and Marco Canella, financial director of Alì S.p.a, all present in the room this morning.

This year the event has a new title sponsor: Honda Auto Italia, which strengthens its link with the sport, putting itself to 'run' alongside the most important running events in Italy. Honda Italia was also a partner of the 7th CMP Venice Night Trail on 1st April and will also be the Main Partner & Official Car of the 36th Wizzair Venicemarathon on 22nd October, as well as many other events. Honda's commitment to charting the path towards a sustainable future is demonstrated by the recently achieved goal of electrification of the entire vehicle range in Europe and Italy.

The following are also sponsors of the event: Craft, Compressport, Alì, Banco BPM, Pro Action, San Benedetto, Bavaria, Palmisano, 1/6H Sport, Morato, Diabasi, 3B Meteo, ATVO, ParkForFun, Lacomed Sport and the media partners Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, Radio Bellla & Monella and Radio PiterPan. Confcommercio Ascom San Donà- Jesolo also collaborates in the event.
12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon - 10K & Alì Family Run: flying towards 5,000 athletes!

The team of 50 'chronometer angels' is also ready, pacers selected for their technical and human qualities. Among these there is also Gianluca Biral, who has been running for 10 years and living with a difficult life partner: leukemia.
Registrations for the Alì Family Run are also booming.

Venice, 9 May 2023 - Less than 2 weeks from the 12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon -10K & Alì Family Run, scheduled for the evening of Saturday 20 May, registrations are flying fast towards 5,000 and the 50m team is already ready 'chronometer angels' who will have to help the athletes to crown their chronometric dream and to overcome moments of crisis and difficulty.

Organizing a team of pacers is not a simple task, but Venicemarathon has always focused on this service and has always identified athletes with great technical and human qualities and a strong vocation.

This year the management is by the Venicemarathon Running Team and there are 50 pacers divided into 10 groups who will observe the following time slots: 1h25', 1h30', 1h35', 1h40',1h45', 1h50'. 1h55', 2h, 2h15' and 2h45'. In the 10 km, however, they will be divided into 5 groups that will cover these times: 40', 45', 50', 55', 1h and 1h10'.

Their names are: Andrea Vidotto, Nicola Divicari (1h25'); Andrea Melpignano, Marco Tricarico, Stefano Manfrin (1h30'); Ignazio Musmeci, Rino Marchioretto, Marco Pozzebon (1h35'); Erika Michielan, Manuel Bozzetto, Gianluca Biral, Jhonny Soprano, Antonio Franceschi (1h40'); Andrea Coppo, Giorgio De Checchi, Nicola Penasa, Tiziano Marangon (1h45'), Carlo Casali, Silvio Dus, Nicola Pangia, Luca Zorzi (1h50'); Giorgio Barone, Dino Bevilacqua, Alessandro Palamidese and Nicola Zanetti, Andrea Raschini (1h55'); Astrid Gagliardi, Marco Ogniben (2h); Anna Murgia, Beatrice Borella, Claudio Siega (2h15'); Ilaria Razzolini and Fabio Vianello (2h45').

In the 10K: Michele Cavasin, Luca Lincetto, Stefano Ruzza (40'); Davide Bertoldi, Alessandro Boscolo, Massimiliano Zennaro (45'); Igor Biasuzzi, Pierluigi Pizzato (50'); Fabio Base, Alessandro Rossi, Stefano Scomparin (55'), Giulia Marascutto and Lucia Seguso, Silvia Finocchiaro (1h); Silvia Finocchiario, Sabrina Mazzucco and Andrea Pellegrini (1h10').

Among the pacers who will accompany the athletes to run the half marathon there is also Gianluca Biral, the 49-year-old athlete from Treviso, registered for the Venicemarathon who has been running and living with leukemia for 10 years:

“In 2013, while I was preparing for the Rome marathon, following an illness I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (LHN) in the 4th stage, a tumor of the lymphatic system, which after a period of observation led me to undergo to cycles of heavy chemotherapy to freeze the disease. To date there are no remedies to heal, but I can still say that the disease in a certain sense has changed my way of experiencing running for the better! I always run with a smile because I have understood that it is the best medicine to keep this travel companion at bay that I have had to accept and with whom I have to live, and even scientific studies have shown its great benefits. Running for me is a gift that gives me pure joy every time and above all helps me not to think about the disease and the marathon is a bit like a metaphor for life: it teaches me never to give up and reminds me that in times of difficulty there is always someone ready to help you. At Moonlight I will run alongside those in need and help people in difficulty. I can't wait!"

Registrations for the Alì Family Run are also continuing at full speed, the non-competitive solidarity run of about 3 kilometres, dedicated to families, students, children and movement enthusiasts, which will precede the start of the two longer runs, precisely to bring to the little ones the atmosphere of the big event. Also this year the event will raise funds to support the parish of San Giovanni Battista, one of the most important Caritas centers in Jesolo and thanks to the collaboration with the Rotary District 2060 it will help spread the message of the important 'Run to End Polio Now' campaign to raise awareness among young people of the importance of fighting polio globally. All information is available on the website www.moonlighthalfamarathon.it.

Another noble solidarity initiative that will enrich the event is the collection of used running shoes (in good condition and washed before delivery) for people in need 'Double knot, forty 2.0', promoted by the barefoot runner Ercole La Manna and by the associations ' Vegan Power Team' and 'Compagnia della Polenta'. A gesture of solidarity for needy people, such as the homeless, who could benefit from running shoes as they are particularly comfortable and required by themselves for daily use, but at the same time an important act of respect for the environment, a culture of reuse and fight against waste. Baskets for the collection of shoes will be placed inside the village and in the departure/arrival area.

The 12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon - 10K & Alì Family Run is organized by Venicemarathon, with the patronage of the City of Jesolo, the support of Jesolo Turismo and titled by the Japanese brand Honda.

Families, children and students will also have fun with Alì Family Run, running in favor of solidarity.
Sea, running and partying: it will be a unique opportunity to enjoy a day at the beach, run in the cool along a fast track, and then let loose to the rhythm of music!

Venice, 2 May 2023 - A little less than 20 days from the start, the countdown of the long-awaited 12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight 21K - 10K and Alì Family Run begins, the great running festival organized by Venicemarathon, under the patronage of the City of Jesolo , the support of Jesolo Turismo and titled by the Japanese brand Honda, which on the evening of Saturday 20 May will let young and old run and have fun.

In fact, the Honda Jesolo Moonlight formula provides for three different distances, suitable for all ages and abilities: the 21K which develops along a fast and at the same time very suggestive track due to the different settings that frame it such as the sea, the river and the pine forest. The 10K in the two versions, competitive and recreational motor, also very spectacular, especially for the passage on the seafront. And finally the Jesolo Alì Family Run of about 3K, dedicated to families, students, children and movement enthusiasts, which will precede the start of the two longer runs, precisely to let even the little ones experience the atmosphere of the great event. Also this year the event will raise funds to support the parish of San Giovanni Battista, one of the most important Caritas centers in Jesolo, committed daily to helping over 200 needy people, providing vouchers or shopping packages.

Concrete help to the needy
The 12th Honda Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon is enriched by another noble initiative. This is the project for the collection of used running shoes (in good condition and washed before delivery) for people in need 'Double knot, forty2.0', promoted by the barefoot runner Ercole La Manna and by the associations 'Vegan Power Team' and ' Company of Polenta'. A concrete gesture of solidarity for needy people, such as the homeless, who could benefit from running shoes as they are particularly comfortable and required by themselves for daily use, but at the same time an important act of respect for the environment, a culture of reuse and fight against waste. Baskets will be placed for the collection of shoes inside the village and in the departure / arrival area.
